The intention of VNCed is to allow both admins and teachers the ability to monitor multiple workstations at the same time.

VNCed is being developed using the Java 2 SDK 1.4.2_06, along with Apache Ant 1.6.2 and the Eclipse SDK 3.1.


Features Included in VNCed

Add multiple computers, configurable via gui

Screen Recording using pyvnc2swf

Chat with Students via the included chat interface

Lock keyboard and mouse on remote PC and blank screen (if enabled on server)

Monitor and Control multiple computers at the same time

View only mode

Automatic reconnect

Preview servers (increased view) before controlling them

Take screen captures of invidual computers (jpeg and png formats)

Support for MS Logon, VNCPasswd, Hex-Ascii, Plaintext and Prompting passwords

Control size of Thumbnail views of servers


VNCed Related Tools

UltraVNC MSI build available for easy deployment

UltraVNC MSI configuration tool

Win32 versions of RFB Proxy available

Win32 version of pyvnc2swf available (no need for python to be installed)
