Anyone agree there is value to adding a screen snapshot feature?

Snapshot Feature
ScreenShot
From a mobile helpdesk perspective, it can become a real handy tool. especially if you are using VNC in a helpdesk environment. Capturing a picture of an error message to send to a vendor or manufacturer at the click of a button would save time & money, and could be a nice feature added to VNC.
Take this scenario into consideration.....
I have ten Mobile techs which are always on the go. I offer remote assistance to other customers wherever I am located provided through Internet access only. (I may be located at customer A's location and need to provide emergency remote support to customer B from customer A's location.)
I do not always have permission from my clients to jack my equipment into the Internet using the customers network. However, I am permitted at most locations to use their workstations as long as I don't install software or modify the workstations configurations.
So as a workaround, I'm having my techs connect to their own mobile desktop through a clientless VPN using only a web browser.
I frequently find the scenario where I am required to send error information into vendors or manufact. support sites. A single click of a button to snapshot the error would be useful.

ahh.. okay so that makes more sense... Im in the mindset that if I am working on someones stuff usually the problem is on my network..... (meaning the primary one I support) or over the internet..
But in that scenario that makes sense.
So you use a web vpn to thier desktop at work, then from there they use single click from the emergency outage area?? Wow.. does the resolution hold up really well.. how about the response time?

Re: Snapshot Feature
Bringing this request back to life. I use UltraVNC heavily at work. Thanks to all who develop it.
A neat feature would be to grab a single frame of the screen via a remote vnc client, in 'view only' mode, not blinking the screen or removing the wallpaper, even if it is selected. I'd put it in a script called from a cron job on my Linux servers to grab a picture of everybody's screens every x minutes (30 probably) and save it in a directory. For those who want to goof off at work it would be more of a deterrent than an enforcement/evidence tool. By goof off I mean download spyware-laden games that the filter doesn't catch.
I know UltraVNC is mostly a Windows following which is fine, and that this is more of a vnc protocol feature request, but if anyone has seen this happen, it'd be nice to reply. If it were implemented in UltraVNC and written into UltaVNC Viewer, that'd be cool too. Just throwing it out there. :)

Re: Snapshot Feature
Something that might help everybody is that pressing Alt-Print Screen will copy only the active window. Therefore, you won't have to edit it that much to remove your desktop from the image. Just thought that might help. I'm still trying to find out how to get a batch file to do the Print Screen key. I'll update if I find out how.
Re: Snapshot Feature
Dont see the issue as is it werks perfectly to capture remote desktop on either XP or Vista as any file type (within reason) using no more no less than tools provided by either OS
