Problem with Remove Wallpaper and Themes in Windows 7

Post by pc99 »

Hi.

I'm running 1.0.8.2 on Windows 7 Home premium and all is well, except for one annoying issue.

I have a desktop theme set up on Windows 7 which changes the desktop wallpaper every 30 minutes.

When Ultravnc is congifured to not remove the Wallpaper, everything is fine, although performance in the viewer is very slow.

If I select remove wallpaper in UltraVNC, although it restores the current wallpaper picture on closing the connection, it causes the theme to change to an 'unsaved theme' which disables the wallpaper changing.

Is there any way around this, or is my only solution to use a third party wallpaper changer, rather than the Windows 7 theme option.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Graham

As no one has replied, just thought I'd update to say that reducing the colours to 256 in the viewer gives adequate performance, leaving the wallpaper in place.
