Stuck negotiating protocol when using VPN

Post by Rook1969 »

Hello,

I've got the VNC server setup as a service. And everything works fine when I connect to the sever via the local network. However, when I try to connect via the VPN is gets stuck at Negotiating protocol.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

When you're on VPN are you able to otherwise connect to the machine by its SAME local IP address (e.g., 192.168.10.2). Can you ping it, open up file shares on it, etc.?

If it's an SSL "VPN" (which other than OpenVPN are really glorified proxies) then it may not be really passing traffic appropriately.
