VNC server always running as application?

Post by bluemail »

I have installed uvnc 1.1.8 on two machines, and both seem to be run as services. I installed the uvnc servers to run as services; the taskbar menu for uvnc offers to uninstall as a service; and when connecting with a client, it title of the uvnc windows says "service mode". But may times uvnc presents a dialog that includes info like "Server closed connection. The server running as application" (for example if a put the pc acting as server to sleep).

I don't get it...is there some other way to make it really run as a service? Or is this just a bogus message?
