VNC Authentication failed!

Hi,

I'm new to Uvnc and got a problem when installing the software on my pc cause when connecting to the server the MS-Logon works (user and password are ok) but then the connection is refused due to the infobox ("VNC authentication failed!")

My config:
-) Port 32000
-) MS-Logon II
-) AES-Encryption

I also tried a more simple config:

-) Port 5900
-) VNC-Logon
-) no Encryption

Everytime it's the same problem. First the connection is installed, then the logon-Window appears. After Logon the failur-massages is displayed the connection is refused.

Does anybody know what's wrong? If you need further information please post!

Hey!

Now I got some further informations:

VNC works, but only by using VNC-Authentification and only in "normal Mode". "Normal Mode" means I can't use it as a service.

When using it as a service vnc breaks down as soon as a vnc-client tries to connect.

Anybody there who has a solution for this problem?

do you have installed uvnc by remote desktop mstsc.exe (microsoft remote desktop client ?)

No, I didn't install the programm by remote desktop.

What Version of XP are you working with?? (Home,Pro, Media)

I got the authentication failed message & wrong password status when connecting to a NT4 computer from XP and W2K boxes using VNC authentication. When I changed the password (test) to numbers only (12345) I was able to connect ok.
