BTW, I just found the new SC website. I think it's great! I know there's been a bit of SC confusion in the past, and it will help.

Which SC is the most mature?
Which SC is the most mature?
I'm still using the original SC, and it is getting long in the tooth. I'd like to upgrade, but I'm not sure whether to go with SCII, SCIII, or PCHelpware. Can someone tell me their experience with these? Which one is the most stable? Features-wise, it looks like all three will work for me. Stability is king right now
BTW, I just found the new SC website. I think it's great! I know there's been a bit of SC confusion in the past, and it will help.

Re: Which SC is the most mature?
pchelpware_sc is mature and fastest free secure remote support
you can customize front end of phw_viewer and phw_server
remember,
pchelpware is not compatible VNC !
PcHelpWare is a lot of easier, than all others previous SC
no problem at all for keyboard, auto screen size, bandwith, etc..
except minor bug should be removed of pchelpware_sc10
(only pop-ballons won't appear from pchelware_server on XP )

Re: Which SC is the most mature?
After PChelpware would probably be standard Single Click for Stabliity or SCIII

Re: Which SC is the most mature?
Pchelpware is current active in development, it has most of the options of
SC II/III.
Unless you need chat/remote screen blanking PcHelpWare is more stable.

Re: Which SC is the most mature?
Thanks for the help.
I can't help but notice the PCHelpware repeater looks almost identical to the SC repeater, except for SSL Port 443. Is the PCHelpware repeater compatible with VNC/SC? If not, can I run both SC and PCHelpware repeaters, changing ports?

Re: Which SC is the most mature?
Why confuse things even more? Just create a new online compiler for the latest stable version and you're done.Rudi De Vos wrote:Pchelpware is current active in development, it has most of the options of

All the renaming will not help.
Users need to know 2 things:
- What version of UltraVNC viewer needs to be used?
- What version of SC needs to be used with that.
Also, point to the right version of the key-generators and plugins.

Re: Which SC is the most mature?
PcHelpware is not UltraVnc SC. It has been rebuild and is not compatible.
*There exist only 1 Pchelpware viewer
*It don't use plugins and keys, encryption is embedded
*You don't have a online creator, an offline creator is in the package.
Renaming help..

Re: Which SC is the most mature?
I'm with CBailey, i am using original SC. I want to continue using the VNC Viewer, what would be the most stable and best SC file to be using?
Re: Which SC is the most mature?
Is the old FTP interface added to PCHelpWare?
And if not, why not?
Again: What version of SC to use, what version of UltraVNC to use with that?

No
The FT (aka FileTransfer) in PCHelpware is a new one, rewritten from scratch
It only uses CTRL-ALT-C & CTRL-ALT-V... this way we don't need to write an un-understandable online documentation with loads of useless fuzzy screenshots
