Lock server input question

Post by Cougar »

Hi,

in the viewer I can lock the server input. I think, this function would be better in the server implementation, to lock the viewer input.

A customer will not be pleased, if I will lock its inputs.

Thanks Björn

Don't agree.
Sometimes it is almost impossible to help because both parties are inputing simultaneously. The customer accepts the restriction.
However adding the functionality you suggested makes sense.

To implement the function in both directions would be in any case a good thing.

A had the problem, that a connection to a server was terminated, while the function was still active. Each input on the server was ignored.

Disable input on server can always be terminated by ctrl-alt-del, this way you can never endup with a locked server.

During connection (when data between server/veiwer is send) , disable input is repeated, to prevent unlocking the keyboard by ctrl-alt-del.

Thanks for these informations. Now I know what to do, if the connections is lost.

Would you implement in one of the next versions that the server(customer) could lock the viewer inputs ?

Thanks to you.
